Hacking Prof. Horner's Bible-Reading System

First off, if you have never heard of Prof. Horner’s Bible-Reading System, and how it works then head over to http://goo.gl/VHoZk for more information. When you have read all of the information and downloaded the material, printed, and cutout your bookmarks you are ready to go.

System Within a System
Sounds strange huh, but the purpose of this system within a system is to help you remember where you are, and what to read next when you come back to it the next day. This is going to be low tech hacking but hacking nether the less, and you already have the necessary materials with you, so lets make it work for us shall we.

All you do is fold the bottom piece of the bookmark back to the top line so that it makes a point. Noticed how it points to the left so that you know to read Job Chapter 33. When you are done reading Job 33 then fold the bottom piece the other way so that it points to Job Chapter 34 before you move on to the next bookmark, and when you come to it the next day you will know where to start.

The Three Chapter Fold?

Not really a fold is it? Just flatten out the bottom part of the bookmark so there are no folds and you should know that according to image we are to read Psalm Chapter 82.

The Four Bandit Shuffle

Four Chapters now, can you guess from the picture above as to what chapter to read? If you guessed Psalm 94 then you noticed the handy bookmark that comes with most Bibles to let us know that we are within the middle area. After reading Psalm 94 for the day just leave the bookmark as is and just remove the Bible bookmark which is brown in this picture.

Five Chapter Dash

About The Name

I admit, its a weird name for a Christ centered blog, but it represents a basic truth that people don't want to hear. Growing up I loved watching Kung Fu Movies, anything with Bruce Lee was my favorite. Somehow I convinced myself, people could fly through the air and use powers within themselves to fight evil, but the knowledge was just lost over time.

Well, I was watching a Kung Fu Movie with a family member and we were all into it, until someone walked in and watched a few minutes with us and their reply was; “you know people really can’t fly like that”, and that my friends, is how to ruin a kung fu movie. Soon as I heard those words I thought to myself “ENEMY” how could you say this. I defended it to the death or would have, by Gods grace it did not happen that way.

I went on with my life after that, believing that there was a God, and that He would let me in because I was a good person. It wasn't till after I was married and received a child by the grace of God that He stated to call me. I wanted to know more but did not know where to start. Everyone around me had their own views, I did not know what to believe so I thought I would buy a study Bible (KJV) because that is what everyone else had. The study Bible was expense and after I got it home it just laid on the desk and every time I would look at it I would hear pick me up and read me. Not in an audible voice, just a strong feeling that I had and my reply was always I have tried to read it before and I did not understand it and if you want me to read it you are going to have to help me.

That went on for a few week and then I realized what I had to do to get into Heaven, and that was keep the Ten Commandments of Gods Law. I picked up that study Bible to refresh my memory as to what the Ten Commandments were and I did not even know where find it in the Bible so I looked it up on the Internet. Alright so I found it in the book of Exodus and I came up short of Gods Glory. At the same time I came across the teaching at The Way of the Master website, which showed me my good works would not get me into Heaven because Gods Grace was a free gift. I broke Gods Law which meant death for me in this world and the next, Hell, but God loved me so much he sent his Son Jesus Christ to pay a fine that I did not deserve so that I could go free and have eternal life. Are you good enough to go to Heaven?
